Understanding Significance of deepawali
Storytelling:
Story: Begin with some light, humorous stories of Diwali and bring out the morals involved, such as good over evil, family being important, and the joy of gifting. You can even play illustration books or animated videos to keep them active.
Activities: Make a story circle wherein the kids can discuss what they learned or liked from the stories. This keeps them interacting and consolidates their learning.
Preparation Plan
Involvement:
Family Meeting: Involves the whole family in planning the celebration. The kids may be approached to suggest some ways of decoration, food, and activities for the celebration.
Diwali Countdown Calendar: Create fun for the festival days with a countdown calendar. The calendar has a task for every day, like making a rangoli, decorating diyas, or learning a Diwali song.
